This is the second and last placement through university that I am conducting at Gerons Performance Academy for a total of 140 hours. This organization focuses on providing 1-on-1 and small groups strength training tailored around clients' needs, goals, and functional abilities.My duties with this organization include:- Programming strength training sessions- Delivering small groups and personal training sessions- Adjusting exercises and training sessions depending on the clients' needs- Improving clients' performance by using appropriate cues and feedback- Ensuring all activities are carried out safelyThe expected completion date for this placement is the 29th of June 2022.

I have completed this eighty hours placement through university at Barbell Samurai which focuses on improving strength, conditioning, and overall physical health through individualized and group sessions with a range of clients from different age groups and physical activity experiences.This opportunity helped me fill the gap that exists between the university and the real-world setting.Thanks to the support from the Strength and Conditioning coaches at Barbell Samurai, I was able to deepen my understanding of things to consider when programming training sessions while also having the opportunity to run training sessions for small classes.Other activities I undertook during the placement include:- Assessing the client's functional performance- Adjusting training programs by using different exercise variations, regressions, and/or progressions depending on the clients' needs- Delivering a variety of cues and feedback to clients to improve both their performance and safety during exercise execution
