Twenty-one years’ experience of Process Design of Refinery, Petrochemical and Chemical plants, Process Coordination/Management, Technology Licensing, Business Development Management, Permitting Management and EU Project/Grant Management.The performed activities include the study of the chemical processes, conceptual studies, feasibility studies, basic engineering and design, front-end engineering and design, assistance to the development of detail engineering, OPEX / CAPEX / IRR calculations in design alternative selection, HAZOP studies, SIL (Safety Integrity Level) studies, Risk Assessments, Business Laboratories, assistance to start-up and test run execution, Permitting and Public Funding (national/EU/international).The activities as EU Project Manager / Grant Manager include:• Identifying a funding opportunity relevant to project• Designing a project (identifying beneficiaries, stakeholder analysis, problem analysis, activity planning, results chain, defining assumptions and risks)• Drafting a winning project proposal• Implementing, monitoring and evaluating EU-funded projects• Budgeting and financial management of project expenditure• Understanding the rules, procedures and contractual obligations of EU-funded projects• Continuous updating on European legislation related to public fundingThe activities as Permitting Manager include:• Managing of the entire authorization process for the construction/operation of the plants, dealing with all the paperwork (documents and graphic works)• Monitoring and analysing the regulatory evolution and regulation of the sector (e.g.: renewable/sustainable energy market, incentive systems, impact of energy taxation, Emission Trading System, End of Waste, REACH)• Managing directly the relationships with the authorities involved for the purposes of authorization, in particular with local authorities• Governing public acceptance, in cooperation with dedicated company departments• Carrying out inspections on construction site and in potential construction areas• Develop Environmental Due Diligence of sites• Supporting investment pre-feasibility analysis• Developing the preliminary design of plants
