Director of Radio Network Dept., leading a team of senior engineers and solution architectsResponsible for:• RAN Design and Optimization Dept. management;• 5G NSA and SA solution Design and Optimisation for MNOs in EMEA region (presale and postsale functions);• Supporting MNOs to drive the innovation and strategic outlook for RAN domain in respect to relevant network components and services;• 5G Private Networks for B2B;• Energy saving features implementation and optimisation (also with CSON solutions) for cost reduction;• Supporting MNOs to implement solutions aimed at reducing carbon footprint and saving energy cost, through the use of renewable energies (solar and wind) for mobile broadband sites;• VoLTE Design, Network Implementation, Analysis and Optimisation;• 2G/3G/4G/NB-IoT/5G RAN Design, Planning and Optimisation for MNOs; e.g. Wind3-Fastweb-Iliad shared network: modernisation/swap/consolidation and merge/rollout/refarming/reshuffling;• Interface with R&D department for Network Performance Improvement;• Milestone achievement of site and cluster KPIs acceptance;• Communication with MNOs HQ Quality and Engineering Depts., in order to assure rational design and quality achievement during network modernisation/swap projects;• Definition and implementation of Network Design and Optimisation flows, best practices, guidelines and strategies for MNOs customers;• Planning and forecast of activities to improve network quality and performance KPIs;• Customer complains' analysis and resolution;• RAN trials (new features, new parametrization proposals, sw patches deployment) in order to improve LTE, 5G network performance KPIs;• Budget planning, cost control and quality management of RAN Design and Optimisation team;• Manpower resource planning and management of the team;• Developing abilities, skills and competencies, motivate and encourage knowledge sharing and trainings of team members;• Coordinating performance evaluation of team members.

Responsible for:• Management of Quality Assurance/Innovation projects across the 13 markets within the group: - Voice/Data Revenue maximisation. - Mobile network Quality KPIs improvement (2G/3G/4G/VoLTE) in RAN and Core Network domains: focus on end-user experience KPIS as well as network KPIs. - Energy saving radio features implementation for costs reduction; - M2M (machine-to-machine) and IoT (Internet of Things) smart connected solutions across 12 markets. - Virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) optimisation for Eurasia countries; - Self-Organizing Network (SON) deployment (hybrid architecture) trials coordinator; - Responsible for monthly group quality dashboard and group quality guidelines; - Leading 100+ network engineers of the local quality teams of all the 13 operational companies within the group to reach HQ quality targets;• Management of the communications with network vendors (Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE, Nokia) to support local operational companies in relation to network quality improvement;• Encouraging the inter-communication and collaboration among the local operational companies;• Handing over to the local team and implementing the transition of the leadership once the quality standards have reached the desired levels;• Creating and maintaining updated an online quality community platform for knowledge sharing within the group.

Responsible for:• LTE Radio Design for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven areas;• LTE Radio Optimisation: KPIs improvement, LTE radio features testing and activation;• Voice over LTE (VoLTE) design and optimization: testing, design, network rollout and optimisation;• Drive tests: clusters’ acceptance;• Special Events: planning of temporary sites and capacity managing;• Sites integration acceptance.

Responsible for:• UMTS/LTE Radio design: new sites deployment and modernisation of existing sites (UMTS 900 and LTE overlay);• UMTS/LTE network optimisation: KPIs improvement and RAN features testing andactivation;• GSM/UMTS/LTE network monitoring, investigation and troubleshooting;• Network capacity planning;• Special events coordinator;• KPIs reporting and RAN quality assurance;• Site/Cluster acceptance responsible.

Responsible for:• Site Selection (UMTS/LTE turn-key project) and technical RF surveys of selected sites;• UMTS/LTE design and optimisation;• UMTS/LTE monitoring, investigation and resolution of the network performance degradation;• UMTS/LTE RAN troubleshooting, tuning, optimisation and maintenance based on drive test data;• Radio coverage of TAV (high speed trains stations and railways);• Radio coverage of strategic points of interest using macro-cells, femto-cells, pico-cells and micro-cells;• UMTS900 refarming;• Analyses of electromagnetic impact reports to submit to the Italian regulator;
