Reggio Emilia Innovazione s.c.a.r.l. was founded on initiative from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the Province and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the Chamber of Commerce, Unicredit Bank and several entrepreneurs associations.REI aims at continuing and enforcing the research activities by providing technological services (laboratories) for companies and by coordinating those activities in the Reggio Emilia district. The mission of the organization could be summarized in two main objectives:The first is to support the process of technological innovation in companies of the Reggio Emilia district, the second is to make the Reggio Emilia district a leader for innovation in a national and international context. REI can share its knowledge and best practices in the field of testing labs and technology transfer in particular in mechatronics, electronics, electromagnetic compatibility, power systems, renewables energies and e-mobility. It can directly involve the Club of Mechatronics and the Department of Science and Methods of Engineering of local Faculty of Engineering at University of Modena and Reggio EmiliaAt this moment REI manage 5 testing labs (EMC, PFE, EML, MVR and ISOBUS) and 9 research groups (EMC&RF, Fluid Power, Energy Power, Energy Control, Human Machine Interaction, Automation&Logistic, Eco-Building, Plastic Material Lab, Aeronautics and Temofluidodinamics Lab). In addition to this REI is directy involved to develop and manage the local FABLabREI is very experienced in regional issue, in fact is a recognized industrial research lab connected with High Technology Network of Emilia Romagna region as a assessment and standards procedures at European and International level in order to enhance EU and non-EU network and export.In this role since 2013 REI is a portal of HTN inside the local Technopole ( www.tecnopolo-re.it )
