Linguaviva School aims to encourage international students to learn Italian, to know the italian culture and to experience Italy.The course offers 20 lessons per week, including the organisation of additional seminars about Italian culture and excursions.

Smethwick, Birmingham

I was a student volunteer at Brushstrokes, a charitable organisation that aims to support the most vulnerable residents living in Smethwick and the surrounding areas of West Birmingham and Sandwell. This community project specifically offers support to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. My position involved conducting research for the organisation, to produce a demographic profile of the new residents within this area. Firstly, it was the aim to understand the needs of the local residents to lead to the development of future services and activities. Secondly, the research could potentially allow Brushstrokes to access further funding for improved neighbourhood facilities, in the hope that ultimately these services would promote community integration and social cohesion.
