- Deliver support services to a caseload of program participants through individual advising, group facilitation, workshops, and presentations, focused on core services to support persistence and postsecondary completion:
Monitor class selection and credit completion/efficiency, support Satisfactory Academic Progress, FAFSA and financial aid/scholarship advising, and transfer advising (if applicable)- Incorporate career prep/connections, community building, and personal/leadership development.- Serve as a coach, resource, and advocate for students, holistically examining students' unique situation and areas critical to success, including academics, finances, residence/transportation, support systems, connection, and well-being - Support students in maintaining eligibility for DSF scholarship (if applicable), financial aid, and other funding/scholarships- Utilize student data systems to query student records to inform appropriate services, interventions, and referrals, maintaining accurate and up-to-date advising records, student and program data related to student success services, progress, and outcomes

-Managed the College Access Program in the Future Center at Bruce Randolph School & Manual High School to establish and maintain a college-going culture for low- income and underrepresented students by mentoring students, collaborating with leaders at institutions of higher education across the state, and facilitating workshops on financial aid, scholarships, financial literacy, career pathway exploration, college exploration, essay writing, and admissions process.-Implemented innovative tools and resources to enhance the efficiency of advising services and maintained up to date data that included student engagement, outreach, and academic progress to better serve the needs of 9th - 12th grade students. -Utilized data to identify, recruit, and serve a caseload of 220 9th-11th grade TRIO-eligible high school students and provided key resources to support students in post-secondary pathways in technical, two-year, and four-year opportunities.-Serve 400 students by coordinating with industry leaders and college representatives to bridge pathways to post-secondary and career options through mentorship and career exposure

-Assist first-year students with their transition into CU Denver by providing information regarding resources available on the Auraria campus and answering student inquiries -Organize and facilitate one-on-one meetings with mentees to discuss academic progress and their comfortability in their transition from other educational experiences to CU Denver -Provide advice on study skills, time management, balance, the importance of campus and community involvement, engagement, making healthy choices, personal decision making, assertive communication, conflict resolution skills, and identity exploration-Communicate weekly announcements to students consisting of important university dates, deadlines and events through Canvas-Support UNIV professor by checking students are meeting co-curricular requirements for the course and giving them opportunities to meet these requirements through weekly announcements and one-on-one meetings-Manage a semester budget of $250-$500 by planning and organizing social and academically focused events for mentees-Meet weekly with PAL Pod group, which includes: general updates, engaging leadership development topics, and troubleshooting the mentoring experience for first-year students -Attend mandatory monthly trainings with other PALs to receive programming updates including trainings focused on Dealing with Students in Distress, Budgeting, CliftonStrengths, True Colors, and Implicit Biases-Assist in data entry and data analysis, including tracking mentoring contact with mentees, tracking total hours worked, and organize work related documents, including contact log, hour tracker, overall faculty and mentee satisfaction, and other documents in Microsoft software products

-Manage a high volume of calls and emails and serve as the primary bilingual point of contact to resolve disputes-Navigate scheduled calls and tasks from first patient content to the time of the appointment and follow up

-Evaluate students’ performance and progress with clinical teacher and support students in achieving curriculum goals-Support clinical teacher in grading, working with students 1:1, assist with online learning platform (Schoology), and served as lead teacher in her absence -Facilitate weekly tutoring sessions for all Spanish students with topics like argumentative essays, course projects, and course worksheets-Foster a positive classroom environment by encouraging learning and promoting student growth while developing rapport with students-Observe various classroom management styles as well as collaborate with clinical teacher to implement co-teaching strategies-Serve students of various racial, ethnic, sociocultural and cultural populations

-Transcribe English-language and Spanish-language interviews for the National Science Foundation-funded project Health Citizenship in Rural and Urban Colorado -Independently complete 1 transcription weekly, ranging from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours-Remotely communicate with supervisor regarding project progression on a weekly basis
