About Alevtina Borodulina

I’m a social anthropologist and exhibit curator who left Russia as a reaction to the war, aiming to make an anthropological research on the new wave of Russian Emigration and present the results to the wide public in a form of a narrative-based exhibition. In the past six months I was engaged in creating a co-living and cultural centre for russian recent emigrants in Istanbul and giving interviews to the international press and consulates on the current events and how they affected Russians that oppose the war.

    Exhibit design project of a cultural centre in Kogalym, Western Siberia, Russia 🌴 The challenge was to create a concept design for an ethnographical exhibition about western siberian natives inside a tropical garden centre. The solution was to make the exhibition as a passage trough taiga but from the native’s cosmology perspective.👩‍🎨 My role was to gather a team of academic specialists to write a scientific concept, to create a conceptual design and give technical orders and feedback to the designers and architects.
