I develop plugins for editors to use in Final Cut Pro, Apple’s professional video editing application. These plugins have been used in Oscar-winning films and international high-profile advertising campaigns.As well as commercial plugins for animation and 360° video, I make custom plugins for post-production companies and international broadcasters such as the BBC. The trick with making plugins is to make sure you provide the right amount of controls for editors. Not enough will make the tool not flexible enough. Too many controls will provide too much choice - it is best to limit them to the kind of options that editors need for an edit, not what a motion graphics designer would like.
