I'm a Software Developer, exercising my left brain by day and my right brain by night through creative writing, drawing, and other artistic hobbies. I have always loved computers, so it seemed logical to make a living out of them, but I don't let my work engulf my many other interests, lest I become one.Since high school I have worked at my family's funeral home, so I have ample experience interacting with people across a wide range of emotional levels. The empathy fostered through consolation in such times of despair has allowed me to always be mindful of the human element in whatever endeavors I pursue.I love contributing to fresh and new ideas in whatever way I can, especially ones that involve advancing the human condition. While working in startups presents a great degree of uncertainty, the excitement of venturing through uncharted frontiers for a worthy cause makes the journey plenty rewarding. Away from the computer, I avidly read, write, exercise, cook, and challenge myself to learn whatever seems interesting. To avoid the notorious sloth that befalls programmers, I engage in dynamic activity any way I can, even if settling for my office treadmill over a nice jog in the sunny park. Though my skills and interests are vast and varied, they remain constant in my level of dedication. Across developer duties and personal pursuits, I take what I do seriously - though I still enjoy a good laugh every now and then.
