Assure the warehouse is operating to enhance service, safety, quality, and profitability. Work with team leaders to insure order fulfillment and on-time delivery dispatching and arrivals. Communicate inbound and outbound deliveries. Work closely with Food Safety and QC department. Spot-check orders for quality and accuracy. Ensure inventory and product rotation. Work with night shift and inventory control managers to support processes. Train new drivers and warehouse personnel on safety & quality standards. Conduct weekly warehouse safety meetings. Schedule drivers and warehouse personnel, and control overtime costs. Effectively manage warehouse costs to budget. Manage fleet and warehouse Maintenance to assure that all machines, vehicles, systems, and supplies are consistently maintained. Communicate with the sales team, customer service team, and management staff to properly execute company orders, requests, and goals. Train new drivers and warehouse personnel on safety & quality standards. Responsible for warehouse personnel selection, training, performance reviews, and progressive discipline process as needed.
