About Alex Bailey

I am a Nielson Norman Master Certified User Experience Researcher who believes empathy is our most powerful user experience tool!In my work as a UXR leader—previously with a start-up and now with a large corporate team—I have aimed to ensure that users play significant roles in feature prioritization and product design. I lead and execute generative as well as evaluative studies to develop tools like user personas, customer journey maps, jobs to be done, service maps, and more.Qualitative research, stakeholder collaboration, honing new skills, and tackling diverse projects excite me! Currently, I am focused on learning skills to demonstrate the impact that good UX can have on a product’s bottom line. Effective teamwork with designers and product managers helps me ensure interviews, surveys, and usability tests enable product teams and designers to understand who they are building for. My goal for every project is to relay actionable insights so we can exceed the needs of users, and demonstrate the business impact of good UX!I am familiar with various platforms such as Dovetail, UserTesting, UserZoom, Intercom, Uxpressia, Mixpanel, Calendly, REDCap, Typeform, Hotjar, Lucid Chart, Intercom, Figma, Qualtrics, and other tools that compliment UX research.
