Working in the Visualisation, Irradiation, and Analysis group providing expertise in high throughput screening, immunofluorescence, and digital pathology to groups within the CRUK Manchester institute as well as external industry partners, the Christie Hospital, The University of Manchester, and Russell Group collaborators.My expertises include efficiency in the fundamentals of optimisation and fluorescent imaging, data analysis for medical and academic imaging, automation for screening and data analysis processes including the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence for novel biomarker and assay development.On going projects included developing and optimising work flows in spatial biology using high-plex immunofluorescent, CODEX, use of spatial transcriptomics (Visium, Nanostring, Stereo Seq), and integration of these work flows with each other and downstream analysis pipelines.

Working in the Drug Discovery Unit specialising in high content imaging to develop high-throughput 2D and 3D cellular assays for use in testing novel chemical compounds.From June 2017 to February 2018 my main project was a CRUK-Astrazeneca alliance screen based out of Astrazeneca's world class High Throughput Screening department, utilising their equipment and expertise to develop and run cell based assays.

This role focused on increasing the usage of CRISPR-Cas9 within the Genome Damage and Stability Centre as well as developing multiplexed immunofluorescent high-throughput siRNA screening for Cell Cycle profiling and DNA damage markers.
