I have recently joined the team at Damar after working within the recruitment and training industry for the past 9 years. My role at Damar is to provide support to employers who are looking at recruiting apprentices, including funding advice, apprenticeship recruitment, grants and any other training needs.

Leading a small new on-campus team working on a ground-breaking partnership between Reed and Stockport College. Promoting & improving the employment outcomes for new and recent students of the college, who without additional support might find it more challenging to secure employment.An Employment Broker Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the effective performance, productivity and wellbeing of a small team of Employment Brokers within the college setting. Through observation, coaching and ad hoc support. An Employment Broker Team Leader supports the team by providing a personalised support service to agreed standards to Students, identifying suitable employment opportunities, improving the Student skills and employability to place them into suitable training and/or employment. An Employment Team Leader is responsible for effectively implementing the REED-NCFE philosophy to the highest standards of service for Students, Employers and the college. Working towards strict targets and guidelines in accordance to the contract obligations and REED-NCFE process. Duties include:People Motivation, Coaching and Development; Performance Management and Delivery; Relationships and Stakeholder Management; Business Development; Attraction and Enlisting; Engagement and Diagnosis; Student Progression

To generate business for the College via the promotion and sale of services and courses offered through targeted interventions with local businesses and to retain excellent working relationships with designated employers. To provide advice on Employer Funding options and retain existing employer relationships and to generate new business leads for the College

Providing careers advice to adults. Supporting with C.V writing, interview skills and job goals.
