I have been in the Navy for 7 years working as a Machinest Mate. I have performed corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment ranging from Air conditioning systems, Refrigeration, Galley equipment, Diesel Engines, hydraulic steering gear units, electro-hydraulic Anchor windlass, Potable Water systems, Pumps, Air compressors, low pressure oxygen/nitrogen producer, and vacuum pumps. I have received 6 Navy-Marine corps Achievement Medals (NAMs) for my efforts put forth in maintaining equipment in a timely matter and keeping the mission going with no down time. I also attended schools in the Navy, such as, Steering systems Mechanic, Air conditioning and Refrigeration, Cryogenics (liquid Oxygen/Nitrogen). I received my Universal EPA 608 Certification as well. Before the Navy I went to school at Universal Technical Institute for Auto/Diesel certification. After school, I was hired at Republic services as a preventive maintenance technician where I worked on Mac and Peter built trucks performing PM and DOT inspections. With little to no supervision I was allowed to replace tires, air brakes, wheel bearings and seals, transmission filters, fuel filters, oil filters, fabricate hydraulic lines, belts, and air filters.
