As a criminology graduate from Carleton University, I have a passion for providing effective, just, and humane responses to crime and its causes. I have been working as a caseworker at John Howard Society Ottawa for over six years, providing social support services for parolees re-entering society.In my role, I facilitate a successful transition into pro-social, law-abiding behaviour, functioning as a liaison between the offender and the parole officer. I also deliver supportive services, such as counselling, referrals, advocacy, and crisis intervention. I use my skills in social services, casework, and psychology to help my clients overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. I value working with a diverse and collaborative team that shares the JHS mission and vision. I believe I can bring my experience, expertise, and perspective to any organization that seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of people and communities affected by crime.
