Internal Communication: Developing and managing regular communications with staff at the office as well as FPN clients i.e SWALA Energy, Tigo Tanzania, BG etc. This is done through emails and various meetings between Us and Our Clients.Communications Strategy and Planning: In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, develop an external communications plan to support the achievement of FPN as a PR Agency as well as public relations objectives in vicinity and Tanzania as a whole. Facilitate the delivery of Clients media strategies and plans as well as development and implementation of Clients strategies and digital communication strategy (Specifically for Tigo Tanzania).Brand management: Monitoring the media for use of our Clients brand, support the management of the Clients brand and ensure it is correctly used throughout all communications, internally and with external stakeholders to minimize brand risk. Collate, edit, and manage design, print and distribution of reports and publications.Media Management: Gathering and presenting content for different media and audiences. Establish and maintain relationships with key print, broadcast and online journalists to expand media coverage (national and international). Pro-actively seek and maximize opportunities to raise FPN's profile in media, (this is done by expanding our client's visibility in PR field. Contribute written materials regularly that illustrate the impact of our project and its context. Develop the capacity of staff to maximize PR opportunities by providing specific briefings for media interviews. Provide content for the website. Facilitate the delivery of local and national media trips, facilitating arrangements and accompanying as appropriate. Act as the focal person for requests for information from external companies and individuals.Government Relations- Build up and sustain Government Relations to develop company’s reputation with appropriate entities relating to our clients.

To cover news events, write and submit factual and balanced stories for publication within set deadlines. The job entails going out on assignments as well as use of own initiative to gather news. It ensures that the news stories submitted are factual, of public interest, detailed and well researched in conformity with journalistic ethics, editorial objectives and house style.Main Duties & Responsibilities:• Develop reports and writes news for the title as assigned to in finished form, so that no major rewrite is required or no extensive additional report is needed.• Take notes on location, carry out interviews, check facts and tape records as the case may be; write news or features on own initiative, choice and judgment or at the direction of either the news editor or section editor.• The material so written must reflect a thorough understanding of the house style (MCL’s style of journalism) as defined in the editorial policy guidelines and objectives, the house style and the journalistic code of ethical journalism.• Research and provide background information to make copy complete.• Brief News Editor on stories gathered and to write the selected ones within set deadlines.• Follow news leads and maintains close contacts with news sources.• Is primarily but not solely responsible for the correctness of facts, content and style of news materials.• Closely co-operate with photographers from whom orders pictures on the issues being covered.
