Shortly after Aura acquired Pango I join the remote USA team responsible to make a new user summary data system for the upcoming Aura app. (I was in 10h timezone difference from most of the team).I was working on a backend component responsible for aggregating many formats of pre-processed users' sensitive info alerts from external systems into a general model which is easy to consume by any client.

The codebase was a monorepo with mostly duplicated logic and copy-paste gulp script. There was no one to onboard me in the details of implementation.My first actions were:- fix critical issues with a hardcoded user id (yes, hardcoded debug user id directly to git lol)- migrate from 8 copy-paste gulp scripts to a single webpack script- modularize shared logic and components to a set of packagesIn the end, I refactored most of the project code base to react hooks code bases with proper js module resolved and shared code base.Besides code, the major issue was - a large amount of different integrations services and APIs per project, such as authentication flows, proxy authorization flows, locations APIs, payment gateways, onboarding, etc. Most of the other teams responsible for backend APIs were distributed around the globe - USA, India, Ukraine, and Russia, so there were a lot of chats to deliver features to the end user.

I worked on a project for processing and generating XBRL taxonomy for the banking systems. My responsibilities were:- R&D of service for fan-in and fan-out XBRL documents processes- Purpose and develop a POC Java Spring service for processing large XML documents structured by XBRL taxonomy format. Java 8 stream API was used for most parts of the XML processing logic- Collaborate with a DB team for creating a schema for storing the XBRL structure- Create a simple React UI for POC
