Maple Bear International Kindergarten is a Canadian export teaching in the immersion style. Students would spend half the day learning in Vietnamese and half the day learning in English. Using the curriculum provided, I had the opportunity to teach two classes of 4-year-olds on a wide variety of topics from space to bees, with each topic encompassing maths, English language, art, science and important social development skills. Each week I would need to order supplies and adapt the curriculum to match the resources we had available to us, two different class sizes and daily fluctuations in behaviour to be expected from 4-year-olds!I was expected to provide comprehensive reports for every child for end-of-term reports to be presented to the parents in parent-teacher meetings.Above the usual teaching responsibilities, I was often asked to take part in open-day presentations outside of regular school hours to help recruit new students for the school as well as taking part in themed assemblies with the other teachers for various special occasions throughout the year. This was the most rewarding job I have had to date. Leading my classes, aided by two TAs, and seeing the children grow and develop over the course of a year was a delight. I won the Maple Bear Outstanding Teacher Award in a large awards ceremony 2018 specifically for my enthusiasm and organisational skills.

Working across 3 different public schools in Ha Noi, my role as ESL Teacher required me to engage with and teach large class sizes (between 30-50) of children from ages 5-14In public schools, the lessons were only 30 minutes so using the basic curriculum provided I needed to find creative and entertaining ways to reach up to 50 children.I did this with extensive lesson planning to find online materials, games which could involve the whole class and encourage those who may be more shy or struggling.Keeping track of so many children's progress was difficult but necessary as at the end of each unit I was required to administer oral exams and provide a mark and feedback for each student. This was a hugely challenging role for a first-time teacher but I loved it. Finding new and interesting ways to communicate difficult language or concepts was fascinating, especially when plans so often changed in class on the spot if children weren't responding or understanding. This role built my confidence, communication abilities and reactive problem-solving skills to a level of which I am still very proud.

Through meeting the directors of IDP while working at Tariff and Dale, they let me know they were looking for some support in their office. I wrote them a proposal the following day and they accepted.My responsibilities in this company were many and varied outside of the traditional Office Manager role.I maintained the office, carried out ad hoc admin and ordered supplies, for example, but I was also acting as a liaison, managing the relationships between tenants, contractors and directors at an apartment block. My role developed to include coordinating repairs and sourcing furniture options for fitting out the penthouses and arranging photography for marketing purposes.I also managed diaries, emails and travel arrangements for 2 directors as well as logging expenses for the whole office.

The focus of my role was to manage Amazon & eBay listings which included writing sales copy for product descriptions & marketing.On top of this I was required to deal with inbound customer service enquiries via telephone, amazon, eBay and email as well as any ad-hoc office admin.

APDirecting was a small start-up with the goal to help connect individuals in the media industry to create an information networking hub in order to assist individuals in finding contacts, collaboration opportunities or employment thus boosting the creative economy.I was initially contacted to work as a client liaison, contacting prospective clients in Manchester in relation to services provided by APD TV and Film such as promotional videos, event filming, documentaries, marketing and brand awareness videos, music videos, corporate videos, vox pops etcWorking closely with the CEO we developed a vision to bring together different services for creative and media individuals to enable better connectivity, enhanced collaborative opportunities and learning opportunities. Our mission was to provide a combination of virtual services, live workshops, events and more to facilitate accessible and flexible learning and connectivity platforms for as many graduates, freelancers, self-employed and unemployed individuals as possible. Key aspects of my role at APD were working on content for our pilot project, and planning events including sourcing, building and maintaining relationships with sponsors and business partners. I was responsible for important external communications documents as well as organising internal document storage for record-keeping and smooth internal communications.We successfully ran two film workshops, the second producing a short film with input and collaboration with local film production companies.

Looking after a large base of existing clients of various sizes, I was responsible for keeping a 95% retention rate throughout the year as well as growing the revenue coming in from our customer baseDaily responsibilities included providing friendly and helpful customer service to any inbound calls, dealing with complaints and queries as well as dealing with inbound orders via telephone or through the website.Other activities included proactively calling my client base to make sure they had enough licenses, needed any training at all or if they could benefit from any additional services from Advanced Computer Software ie managed services, hosted services, mobile communications, digital signatures or telephony answering services.I required a strong knowledge of our legacy products as well as new 'go forward' solutions in order to recommend the best course of action for any of my customers. Previous experience within the new business department provided me with a good grounding in this but it was necessary to regularly attend training and keep ahead of new developments in both software and the legal industry.I was also responsible for providing online web demonstrations on one of our legal accounts packages.

Responsilble for contacting leads, both cold calling and part of marketing campaigns with a view to book an appointment for a representative, either meeting face to face or provide an online demo of our software offering.I needed to qualify these meetings though solution selling and questioning - making sure the correct representative was showing the most appropriate software solution for each meeting.Managing 3/4 different representatives diaries at any one time and making sure the meetings are sat, rebooked if necessary and keeping in touch with any contacts to make sure they have the information/quotes they need.
