I am a highly skilled contracts and procurement professional who has worked in mining, oil and gas and supply organisations. I have worked on major contract packages over the last 10 years with a value of over two billion dollars which include major construction, service and supply and manufacture contracts. In addition to the contract packages I have been a manager and lead in procurement activities with a total spend of over 100 million dollars. I have managed contracts from pre-award through close out and have successfully negotiated cost savings, dispute resolution and contract amendments in this time.My main strengths include leadership, excellent work ethic, decisiveness, and attention to detail whilst being able to understand and develop the big picture, quick thinking, using initiative, self-motivated, analytical skills and contract management/negotiation ability. I am currently the Contracts and Commercial Manager in the Integrated Project Management Team for the Arafura Rare Earths Project with overall responsibility for contract planning and execution, procurement of major equipment and the commercial soundness of the project.As a commercial specialist on the multi-billion Ichthys project for JKC I was responsible for managing claims between the client and ourselves and was also involved in several subcontract packages including as part of the arbitration team for a major arbitration of some $500M.I was previously responsible for managing KBR Operations Procurement in Australia and Subcontracts management for the APAC region. This role involved ensuring that KBR’s processes and procedures were used on proposals and projects and to provide oversight and support to the KBR business units.Previously I managed the contracts and procurement team on the Hope Downs 4 Mine and Power projects. This involved leading and managing Perth and site based teams to ensure that the clients contracting requirements were met, dealing with Contractors to resolve any contractual issue that had arisen, and developing and managing the ongoing contracting strategies, reporting of contracting and procurement KPI’s and working with the client to ensure that the clients procedures were met and that the contracting strategy protects the clients rights.
