Between September 2015 and June 2016 I completed a one year placement at FleishmanHillard in Brussels. Working as part of their ever-growing Digital, Social and Creative team I had a range of responsibilities which included; - Collaborating with clients to create successful, multi-platform, digital campaigns. - Selling our team's packages to prospective clients - Leading on the team's effort to develop and implement a framework for covering events on social media. - Writing blogs and copy for a range of trade associations and industry leaders in Brussels. - Monitoring and analysing various media outlets in target markets throughout the EU. During my time at FleishmanHillard, there were two clear highlights. The first was leading on the creation and implementation of a record breaking digital campaign at the World Climate Change conference (COP21) in Paris. The second was hosting a seminar for various stakeholders and clients on "How to cover events on social media" during FleishmanHillard's "Five Days of Digital".

After impressing during a short stint at Pepper Media in 2012, I was invited back to complete a month long internship in 2014. - Writing letters, reports and articles for clients helped to refine my writing style and taught me how to adapt my style to suit certain clients. - My research and reporting skills were also greatly enhanced, whilst my inter-personal skills were aided by arranging and making phone calls to clients. - Being given the opportunity to work on projects with external clients was very rewarding, with my trip to Parliament to report on a sub-committee and the chance to draft a speech for a member of the House of Lords particularly memorable moments.
