I have over 15 years of experience in the power engineering consulting industry. I have extensive expertise and experience in physical substation engineering including the production of physical substation design packages, substation planning and estimating, material procurement, overseeing construction efforts, final inspections, as well as overseeing the work of other engineers under his supervision. I have substation design experience at all Georgia Integrated Transmission System (ITS) voltages including 500kV, 230kV, 115kV, 46kV, 25kV, 12kV, 4.16kV, and systems under 1000V. I am currently licensed in Georgia and Alabama. I have also been involved in work in various areas of engineering such as underground and overhead line design, transmission design, system sectionalizing, low voltage industrial design, system planning, system inspections and valuation, and military base privatization. I have experience working with Utilities throughout the United States on physical substation design, construction work plans, long range planning studies, overhead system design and structural analysis, underground distribution system designs, system overcurrent protection and sectionalizing, fault current calculations, system modeling, transmission line design, distributed generation analysis, and electric distribution system valuations. I also have experience teaching training seminars, writing material for training seminars, and have been involved in several publications.
