As part of Kent State's Spring 2022 Washington Program in National Issues Program, I interned at Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund (TAFEF). This internship continued into September 2022.TAFEF is a public interest non-profit organization dedicated to fighting fraud against the government by working to protect whistleblowers and strengthen the effective operation of the laws that empower them to expose misconduct and the theft of taxpayer dollars. These laws include the federal and state False Claims Acts, the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Internal Revenue Service whistleblower programs, and the Motor Vehicle Safety Whistleblower Act.As a Legal Research Intern, my responsibilities include but are not limited to:- assisting the President and Director of Legal Education with assistance on discrete projects involving legal research and writing,- research related to COVID-19 fraud, and other industry research.

I was hired in May 2020 by MidTown Cleveland, Inc. through the Cleveland Hillel Summer 2020 Internship Program. MidTown Cleveland, Inc is a community development corporation in Cleveland, Ohio which focuses on master planning, commercial real estate, & community outreach within the MidTown neighborhood. What initially started as a part-time, remote role for just the summer of 2020 turned into a 16-month experience with this fantastic organization. While at MidTown, my responsibilities were as follows:• Managed, created, and implemented marketing strategy on MidTown/Health Tech Corridor platforms• Created and maintained real estate database for potential tenants on Excel and WordPress• Supervised and onboarded summer marketing intern• Perform other duties as instructed, including assistance on special projects, business outreach, event coordination and public appearances.
