• Team Leader for HIV Technical Support Team having 5 direct reports.• Responsible for transitioning all former Business Team responsibilities and activities into Technical Support, Focus Factory, and AQA areas.• Responsible for coordinating completion of all HIV open Level II investigations, Corrective/Preventative Actions, and regulatory submissions, as well as completing compliance activities in preparation for FDA inspection.

Main responsibilities included: maintenance of target inventory levels; coordinating yearlong product certification and remediation activities in preparation for FDA inspection in 2001; closure of CAPA-related documents and investigations.

• Primary Business Team contact for the US and ROW HIV bead products. Activities included: Level III investigations and FDA submissions; creation of production-related documents; resolution of product-related issues.• Miscellaneous Business Team-related functions: Wrote and delivered performance evaluations; oversaw development of US HIV AxSYM product; functioned as Material Review Team (MRT) member; oversaw LIMS document conversion.• Responsible for manufacturing recombinant antigen:HRPO conjugates for use in on-market product.

Pharmaceutical Products Division

• Selected and analyzed HIV-1 variants with increased resistance to ABT-378, a protease inhibitor that was further developed and is currently being sold as Kaletra.• Determined cross-resistance profile of ABT-378-resistant virus against other protease inhibitors.• Constructed panel of full-length HIV-1 molecular DNA clones containing mutations in the protease gene, as well as in the p7/p1 and p1/p6 gag proteolytic cleavage sites.
