In 2009, I developed a company by the name of AltFuel, which manufactures and markets conversion systems for small gasoline utility engines 1-45 HP to run on propane. In less than a year after start-up, we secured significant financial backing from an angel Investor and began successfully marketing this product to national and international consumers. AltFuel received its US Patent 10,100,781: Gaseous Fuel Delivery System (assigned to Alex Catchings and Corey Brinkman) on October16, 2018.This conversion system lowers cost and emissions for its customers ultimately providing a significant savings while benefiting the environment. AltFuel created an effective manufacturing and distribution process which implemented a fresh approach by forming close partnerships with customers and retailers which provided them hands-on oversight and instruction. I’m currently a silent partner and active board policy consultant.For the past 4 years I have been the head of Alliance Small Engines, which is a division of Blossman gas. Blossman gas is the largest privately owned Propane Company in the United States. In July 2017 the Alzheimer’s Association chose to transition from a federation model over to a 501(c)(3). This led to creation of Memory Lane Care Services. I am a founding member and currently serve as Vice President of the Memory Lane Care Services Board. Memory Lane Care Services focuses on respite care for individuals that are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. When assessing the need of our local community, rather than solely focusing on a cure for the disease, our goal is to focus on the caregiver, which translates to better care for the individual that is living with the disease.In addition to these responsibilities, I serve on the Boards of several startup companies providing essential business creation and development consultation.
