I am a Psychology with Forensic Investigation student at Bournemouth University, actively involved in pioneering research and community leadership.In an age of generational apathy, I am eager to go above and beyond, demonstrated by the number of roles I have excelling in during a short time at university. Prior to this, my journey began at Marling Sixth Form, where I excelled academically and served as Head Boy, shaping my strong leadership skills.I represented Gloucester rugby at youth levels until U18’s and played for Gloucestershire RFC as well as doing some rugby coaching in the holidays. My rugby continues today, playing for Bournemouth RFC and BURFC. I’ve help multiple leadership roles within the Students' Union at Bournemouth University, including President of the Psychology Society, where I've significantly expanded membership and organized award-nominated workshops and events. In my first year I won student rep of the year. In my second year, as a Part-Time Officer for the Faculty of Science and Technology, I advocated for student rights, influencing over 45 policies and implementing initiatives and contributing to access and participation plan, student mental health, night safety, and much more as well as increasing student representation through forums and online feedback being outperforming other faculties under my lead, achieving my third award nomination in 2 years. As a Research Assistant at Bournemouth University I’m involved in a project on gambling within the LGBTQ+ community. Utilizing eye-tracking technology, I contribute to safer gambling practices, presenting our findings at a BU parliamentary reception and Bournemouth Pride 2023.At AirDrate, I am a Research Data Analyst, I produced the “practical use of Airdrate rehydrating earplugs” research report that led to the worlds first medically proven product for inflight ear pain. In tandem with my research pursuits, I am a dynamic Student Ambassador, I have worked on multiple open days, represented BU at UCAS events, and worked with over 30 schools and hundreds of young people, ensuring exceptional visitor experiences. My efforts play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment at Bournemouth University, significantly enhancing our community outreach initiatives.Passionate about impactful research and community engagement, I look forward to contributing to your organization's success.
