About Alex Champion

I wish to be the best archivist I can be regardless of where I am. I am keeping my eyes on trends in digital preservation, digitization, and systems as well as how they fit into the new paradigm of education.Over the long term I see archives branching off (but not with mutual exclusivity) in two directions: Reference & education and digital archives. Technical skills will of course be necessary in the former, where I think my personality and interests shine. I endeavor to maintain my knowledge of and learn further core competencies with the goal of becoming a super user who can articulate needs to IT staff.
