General Responsibilities: - Perform technical work as a water resources engineering consultant primarily in the field of stream restoration. - Manage and lead multiple projects, coordinate with clients on regular basis to maintain relationships and ensure project goals are being met, and oversee staff working on smaller projects and provide final approval. Technical Skills: - Utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D to create stream restoration and stabilization designs based on Natural Channel Design techniques. - Perform hydrologic analysis of watersheds using both NRCS Curve Number and Rational Methods, utilizing HEC-HMS and WinTR-55 to produce results. - Conduct in-field stream assessments and classifications including channel characteristics (stream profile, cross sections, pebble counts, and bar samples) as well as bank erosion rate estimates in accordance with the Bank Assessment for Non-Point Source Consequences of Sediment (BANCS) model. - Perform hydraulic modeling of existing stream conditions, proposed channel restoration designs, floodplain extents, and existing and proposed stormwater infrastructure using HEC-RAS, Culvertmaster, Flowmaster, and HY-8. - Develop construction plansets of designs.- Design pond dredging designs that return ponds to original capacity, add new components including wetland benches, islands, and inlet and outlet features. - Perform riser structure sizing computations based on various release rate requirements and produce associated design plans. Construction Experience: - Serve as lead engineer for multiple construction projects working with municipal and county engineers, contractors, sub consultants, and multiple departments within the company. - Provide RFI responses and review and approve contractor submittals and construction as-builts. - Attend community meetings and interact with adjacent homeowners to explain project goals and address concerns associated with construction.
