I started with the Scottish Governemnt at 16 years old, leaving school on a friday and starting on a monday was a tough experience i had to overcome. I began in Human Resources as an HR Reourcing and Interchange Officer.My main duties included providing advice, support and guidance on resourcing to recruiting managers and internal/external applicants. This includes proof reading adverts, gaining approvals and advertising within Skills Development Scotland. Other duties associated with this post include updating and maintaining the Scottish Government’s vacancies on-line system; carrying out pre-appointment nationality and security checks, checking resourcing and interchange documentation to ensure that all recruitment activity is carried out in accordance with the Civil Service Commission’s Recruitment Principles.
