Successfully pitched and expanded my team by another two members and as a team reduced the cost of non-conformance expenditure by 45% for 2017, directly impacting the bottom line.Completely overhauled the the customer complaints process for the Fire business resulting in a 75% drop in open complaints in the first 12 month of implementation and decrease in average processing time by over 30%.

Operations lead for new product development ensuring new designs cater for design for manufacture and assembly. Leading process design reviews including pFMEA's, DFA, APQP to ensure a smooth transition from concept to manufacture. Several new products launched totaling several million pounds in new sales for market leading OEMs in addition to own brand products.Relocating of 150+ SKU's from the the north of England to locations in South Wales, China and Romania. Coordinated the run of pilot trials, personally signing off all validation and pilot production materials before full manufacturing switch to the new locations. Material Management: Lead a multi-site project across five countries in Europe and Asia consisting of the local Supply Chain Managers to create aggressive reduction plans deploying new tools including ABC analyses, economic order quantities and forecast defined safety stocks resulting in over a $2m inventory decrease from September 2013 to May 2014 with zero impact to customer service.New Product Introduction: Revive high value products from a business acquisition that had been discontinued, reverse engineering the products and manufacturing processes from limited information and working with multiple departments to source and manufacture components. These products frequently had margins over 90%.Cell Redesign: Lead a team in the relocation and redesign of multiple manufacturing cells from a company acquisition. Tools including VSM and time studies were used to introduce takt, resulting in an efficiency and capacity increase by 50%. New Component Introduction: Manage the introduction of new supplier components into manufacturing, ensuring that they adhered to the correct quality standards and expectations before full integration into the business. In the event of sub-standard quality, working with the suppliers to create corrective actions and increase their quality performance.

Manufacturing Relocation: Manage the redesign and relocation of the Fire department’s manufacturing floor across the site, designing several new cells, sourcing suppliers for materials and equipment, and coordinating several teams to ensure the project was completed on time with zero impact to customer service. Design of Test Equipment: Design and development of bespoke test equipment that would only require the PCB from the detector to operate on the loop, resulting in a 90% space saving over previous designs that involved storing the entire detector.
