Alex Davidson is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and senior portfolio manager of the Patriot Trust. He also serves as an Officer and Director of JC Clark Ltd. Alex joined the firm in 2003 and since then has been responsible for managing the JC Clark's long biased alternative value Fund. He received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor in 1966 and an MBA from McMaster University in 1967. Prior to joining JC Clark, Alex spent more than thirty years involved with the startup, ownership, and management of several businesses involved in the manufacturing and resource sectors. Alex currently serves as a Chancellor for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as well as a director of JDRF's affiliated Canadian Clinical Trials Network. Alex is also actively engaged in the furtherance of environmental stewardship of the Great Lakes by way of active support to GLIER (the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research), an adjunct to the Faculty of Science at the University of Windsor, as well as a former director of the Georgian Bay Association,
