- Manage portfolio of clients, providing strategic consulting, content, and administrative support on a plethora of Federal education and workforce policy issues including higher education, student loan forgiveness, Pre-K-12 education, child nutrition, educational equity, special education, and school administration diversity among other issue areas.- Draft and/or compile 3-4 high-quality newsletters per week of varying lengths, focuses and target audiences that each succinctly provide clients with the latest news, events and Federal action that require their attention based on their organizational priorities and policy goals while also alerting them of upcoming Federal or private and public sector events.- Assist in the firm’s internal Human Resources functions such as assisting in the intern interview and hiring process, training of interns and new hires on how to complete their duties, and planning internal staff gatherings such as holiday parties.- Responsible for tracking all relevant Federal government activity through the monitoring of Presidential Executive Orders, press releases, proclamations, departmental regulatory actions and negotiations of the Executive Branch (namely the U.S. Department of Education), U.S. Supreme Court decisions and lower court decisions, Congressional member activity and bill introductions, Congressional legislative negotiations, and parliamentary nuances in the legislative process.- Produce memorandums on bills and events relevant to client priorities, namely Congressional hearings- Manage the company’s website and communication efforts, including drafting press releases, managing its running list of grant opportunities, and drafting and promptly posting its weekly news “Wrap Ups.” - Identify press contacts and coordinate the placement of company announcements in publications from organizations such as POLITICO.
