Since May 2023 I have been a quality and performance analyst for National Highways, based in Wakefield. I take great pride in the work that I do as it has a wide impact within the community. Drawing on my previous experience with West Yorkshire police, I use my skills to analyse the region's quality and performance, ensuring work on the strategic road network is carried out to the highest standards. We aim to promote a culture of continuous improvement, sharing lessons learnt within the National Highways community. I assist in the creation and management of a performance dashboard in PowerBI, to help highlight areas for improvement in a clear and consise way. Being involved within this process has helped me develop my skills in using DAX coding, and makes me want to push my skills and knowledge further. I enjoy being given the responsibility of new tasks and putting my own imprint on them.
