Highlight: Day to day exposure to “Lean Manufacturing” process of Toyota TPS Manage new project ramp up, from prototype to mass production Initiative quasi-consulting projects to improve productivity and quality of suppliersKey Responsibilities:• Reinforce supplier capability through actions such as reviewing manufacturing processes, setting improvement targets and direction, and aiding in problem solving activities• Lead the development and implementation of supplier development/cost reduction strategies for current model processes via direct adoption of TW/TPS/TMS practice. Key learning is to be transferred to designing new processes where possible• Coach a team of supplier members from various levels to introduce Kaizen techniques and TPS principles resulting in improvements in areas of cost, safety, quality and delivery• Guide problem solving and resolution of supplier issues i.e. quality problems• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements (i.e. OH&S and ethical sourcing practices)• Coach other Supplier Development Specialists to be able to monitor and assess supplier activities, capabilities and performance• Communicate and consult with key divisional/manufacturing staff
