In this role I am responsible for assisting with any administrative tasks the the theatre’s Executive Director or Artistic Director may need.

As a residency artist with New West Theatre, I have gone into schools and created plays with children based around themes or curriculum-based ideas chosen by teachers and school administration.

In this role I am responsible for managing New West Theatre’s volunteer base and filling necessary shifts for the runs of each show in a season. Additionally, during each show I am available to make sure everything runs smoothly from the patrons’ side of things, ensuring any issues are promptly addressed and rectified.

As an instructor for New West Theatre, I have been working with youth aged 6-18 in theatre classes where I teach them basic performance technique and build a play from scratch to be performed for an audience at the end of each semester.

As a youth program assistant at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, I have been responsible for helping ensure that children’s programs run smoothly and are enjoyable for our young patrons.

In this role I have been a responsible for a variety of different things. Primarily I ensure our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience, but have also been involved in event preparation, some social media/graphic design, as well as being a part of curating the collection of books we have in store.

In this role, I acted as a representative for the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lethbridge. I was responsible for acting as a voice for fine arts students and making sure their needs were met and their concerns acknowledged. Each month I would attend a variety of different meetings involving different topics from general union meetings to specfic committees for different topics.

An internship that was spread out a bit sporadically over the above months in week long chunks. While interning at Vertigo Theatre, I had the chance to meet and talk with professionals in the field from a wide variety of disciplines from artistic direction to finance. I also helped in the office with administrative tasks, learned how a box office runs, and had the opportunity to observe how a professional tech week goes.
