I assisted in the maintenance and upkeep of the lab equipment available in the mechanical engineering labs. This equipment included Bridgeport mills, Lathes, CNC machines and other metal working equipment. Another responsibility of mine was the lead student fabricator. Through this role I was responsible working closely with professors to develop equipment and prop solutions for their lab experiments and then turn those solutions into tangible items. During this role I furthered my skills in metal and wood fabrication, communication and 3D modeling.

During winter break (J-Term) I was selected by engineering staff and professors to lead a team of engineering students to complete projects in the mechanical and electrical engineering labs at the University of Saint Thomas. During the summer between my sophomore and junior year of college, I worked as a lab assistant in the Civil engineering department at the University of St. Thomas. I was in charge of completing complex projects that improved the labs as a whole. These projects ranged from setting up experiments, testing the equipment needed to run such experiments and developing the most effective way to run these experiments in the space provided. Through this experience, I acquired skills in Leadership, MIG welding, general metal, and woodworking.
