I was in charge of managing the associates during the times in which the store manager was not present. My roles was to communicatewith the district manager if major conflicts as well as if the district manager needed information during the time in which I was working. I also was responsible for removing all earned cash at the end of the business day. I was also responsible for confirming, upon opening, that there was the required amount of cash needed to use the register before the store opened for the day. Finally, in the absence of the store manager, I was in charge of handling issues relating to customers that the average associate could not handle.
