My role at Apex was as a telephone negotiator dealing with the collection and recovery of funds owed to contingent clients (primarily high street banks and building societies, i.e. RBS, Barclays and Lloyds TSB) – I handled inbound and outbound calls dealing with customers to negotiate the repayment of credit accounts. It involved working out repayment.

I worked in a team dealing primarily with Debt Management Plan, Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) and Protect Trust Deed (Scottish) applications reliant on certain circumstances and criteria. Work was mainly carried out on two databases – an in house system and a Microsoft Access database. I also handled the statistics and reporting of the teams.
