As an aspiring medical student and future physician, I am dedicated to one day applying my advanced knowledge and abilities to promote heath, healing, and education for my patients. In the short term, my focus centers on building the competencies and skillsets I need to successfully earn admission into medical school and launch my career practicing medicine. Iโm especially interested in clinical research and nonprofit administration, particularly organizations and opportunities that promote public health and advance the medical community.As a recent college graduate with a BA in biology and experience in medical, research, and nonprofit settings, I have developed the ability to prioritize and execute detail-oriented tasks in high-pressure environments. I am proud of my reputation as a motivated, conscientious, and methodical team member with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. My experience to date includes working as a medical assistant, founding and operating a nonprofit organization, and contributing to a breast cancer research project.๐๐ฐ๐ฑ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ด๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ด:โ Obtaining presenting problem details, relevant history, and vital signs for 15-20 patients daily in a primary care clinic. I gained broad experience interacting with patients and learned about the daily operations of a medical facility.โ Thoroughly and accurately entering confidential breast cancer patient data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to assist a university research team in their analysis. Contributing to this project equipped me with a sharp eye for detail and an appreciation of the role that scientific research plays in the medical profession.โ Co-founding a nonprofit organization to support educational initiatives for an impoverished community in Africa. Our work increased the passing rate at the village primary school by 60%, and also empowered the villagers to embrace education.
