I landed as a fully autonomous one man team to design, deliver and maintain an automated release process. The final product was derived from an outdated manual deployment document. Despite being a completely new approach, It retained the key business markers and procedures by integrating with the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Bamboo, Hipchat, Stash) into a seamless and quickly configurable process. The new automated process saw the release process times drop to 20 minutes, meaning tech leads weren't taken out of action for a day and no longer dreaded their turn to stay late on a Friday night!
