Dr. Alex Ferro is an OB-GYN serving patients in Miami, Florida. He speaks both English and Spanish.Dr. Ferro completed an Ob-GYN internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercer University, Memorial University Medical Center. During his training, he received numerous awards including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists "Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures, The Organon Award for "Outstanding Research in Women's Health and the Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award. He also was one of only 2 residents physicians in the country who presented his original research at the South Atlantic Conference for Obstetricians and Gynecologists.He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals including the very prestigious American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Anti-Aging MedicineDr. Ferro is currently is a clinical instructor and faculty member for the PA program at Florida International University. He is also a clinical instructor and preceptor for the AUC and Ross University Medical Schools. Dr. Ferro also maintains a hospital affiliation with the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL since 2004. Dr. Ferro has special training in minimally invasive pelvic surgery, advanced laparoscopy, and complex pelvic surgery. In addition to providing OB-GYN services, he has taken a special interest in functional and anti-aging medicine.
