My name is Alex Gerber and I am currently an Area Manager for Amazon (DMS6) in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota area. I began my career at Amazon in Kenosha, WI (MKE1) as a Fulfillment Associate (Tire 1) where I sorted and packed customer shipments to be sent to the middle mile logistics divisions. In 2019 I moved to the Cleveland Ohio area [CLE3] where I took on the position of Process Assistant, where I lead and coached a team of ~200 associates and assisted with the daily operations of the outbound pack department. In September of 2020, I moved to Nashville, TN (BNA5) which is when I joined the transportation team as a Transportation Associate, where I moved trailers from parking slip to dock doors for the operations team to unload/load trailers to move customer shipments to last mile business partners. In March 2021, I was promoted to Logistics Specialist, where my job duties were to create a route plan for service partners to deliver customer shipments to USPS for final delivery to customers. In July 2021, I was promoted to Field Transportation Lead, where I lead a team of Transportation Associates and assisted in managing the transportation department. In August 2021, I made a lateral transfer to Monee Illinois (MDW7),and in April 2022 was promoted to Transportation Area Manager, where I managed a team of ~20 transportation associates and worked with Inbound/Outbound dock teams to ensure trailers were unloaded/unloaded for shipments to be sent to middle/last mile delivery partners. In July 2023, I made the move to my current position in Amazon Logistics (AMZL) where I lead a team of ~100 associates in picking delivery routes and ensuring drivers receive the packages to be delivered to external customers.
