As Director + Head of Business Development at Morris+Company I am responsible for overseeing and driving business development opportunities and growth across all sectors, working directly with our studio leads in their various specialisms. I am also responsible for leading and overseeing our internal competitions studio which seeks to secure exciting new projects through the design competition process across emerging (and established) sectors with a further reach beyond the UK into Europe and beyond.

Between October 2021 and September 2024 I worked as an Associate Director at Morris+Company, leading on business development opportunities, and working at the front end of the design process across multiple sectors including: materplanning, housing, workplace, science and technology and community projects.

Throughout 2021 I worked as a consultant at Morris+Company assisting the practice across their housing portfolio on a variety of housing-led mixed-use projects and new business opportunities.

I joined Jestico + Whiles in 2002 as a Project Architect having previously worked at a small scale London-based design-led architectural practice following recent qualification as a Part II Architect. I was made Senior Architect in 2006, an Associate in 2008 and Associate Director in 2014. Throughout my time at Jestico + Whiles I was fortunate enough to work on and lead a wide variety of award-winning schemes across multiple sectors including: residential, education, hospitality, commercial and cultural, and developed particular specialisms and expertise in the residential and education sectors. I led the Hackney Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme for the practice, designing and delivering four refurbishment / new-build secondary schools across the borough, including the 2011 RIBA Award winning Stoke Newington School, the 2010 Hackney Design Award winning Clapton Girls' Academy, the 2013 NLA Award shortlisted Our Lady's Convent High School and the 2014 Hackney Design Award winning Cardinal Pole Catholic School. The projects across the programme were generally secured through a competitive process. I led the team through all project stages from inception to completion across all projects. Following completion of these key projects for the practice, I subsequently led a number of residential-led mixed-use developments including the 2020 New London Architecture (NLA) Award Shortlisted Queen's Yard project in Hackney Wick and the commercial-led mixed use refurbishment / extension of 51-63 Ridley Road in Dalston. Queen's Yard received a resolution to grant planning consent in June 2020.

In 2014 I was delighted to become an external examiner for the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in Canterbury, for their BA (Hons) course - RIBA Part II.

After Part II qualification , I joined a small start-up practice working in a studio in the Brunswick Centre in Central London as an Architectural Assistant. An integral member of a team of 5, I worked as a Project Architect leading a number of high-end private residential new-build / refurbishment homes, and a conversion / extension of a Central London mews into a mixed-use live / work space for a vintner. Furthermore, I took a lead role in office organisation and administration and benefitted greatly from learning exponentially in a fast-paced small scale architectural practice environment.
