My passion for birds and the environment has led me to become a wildlife biologist. In this role, I conduct surveys to inform projects of potential impacts to wildlife and their habitat, as well as develop measures to mitigate these impacts. This requires analytical skills to apply current research in solving real-world problems to preserve species and conserve habitat. My success in this field is greatly attributed to a strong foundation in environmental science, providing skills in research, data analysis, project management, and technical writing. During my degree, I also discovered a particular proclivity and interest in statistics, GIS and interdisciplinary research. Gallivanting about the woods with binoculars in search for all things feathered is how I enjoy spending my free time.
