The role of the Regional Contracts Manager is to offer customers the option of Komatsu maintaining their equipment at a fixed hourly rate and taking the maintenance risk away from the customer.Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to;- Promote a positive safety and environmental awareness culture.- Explore and grow new business opportunities with existing and new customers.- Review monthly reports, budgets and update forecasts.- Prepare and negotiate tenders for maintenance and repair contracts on mobile equipment.- Manage existing maintenance contracts.- Establish and maintain cost effective plant preventative maintenance programmes.- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.- Liaise with customers to ensure contract obligations are met and review the customer support.- Manage the various workshop facilities, which assemble new equipment, overhaul components (engines, transmissions etc) and carry out general repairs in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Pt Hedland and Darwin.- Managed the apprentice training programme which consisted of up to 100 apprentices.
