Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic IT projects within PwC.During my time with the firm I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including software development, system implementations, application migration and an office floor fit out. The technologies I worked with in the execution of these projects included: K2; Citrix; .NET; JavaScript; Documentum; BizTalk; Sophos; SQL Server; Oracle; Exari; VMWare; IBM WebSphere.All projects were delivered within a PMBOK based framework, with oversight and governance provided by a program management office. The operations team utilised ITIL best practices and I worked closely with the integration and change managers when transitioning a product into operation.The most significant project I managed for the firm was the development of a system integration and workflow application. The primary benefit of the new system was the simplification of business processes leading to a reduction in administrative overhead. This was achieved through good UX design in close collaboration with business representatives. The technologies utilised included K2, BizTalk, Exari, .NET, JavaScript and SQL Server with integration points into the firm’s Master Data Management and ERP systems. My key responsibilities on the project were:- Engagement of all stakeholders including the client and sponsor, end users, IT operations and third parties- Creation and maintenance of the project management plan, schedule, financials, RAILL (risks, actions, issues, lessons learned) and RACI (responsible, accountable, consulted, informed)- To identify and manage the project team, including BAs, architects, developers, third party consultants, server and network engineers, testers and trainers- The management of risks and issues, escalating when necessary- Regularly reporting the project status to the client, sponsor, steering committee and Program Management Office
