Moving to the Chicago Suburbs in the Summer of 2022, I began my professional career in architecture with FGM Architects. With a dedication to building community at every level, I honed my skills with every project thanks to the dedication and experience of those working at FGM Architects. I graduated with honors, Cum Laude, in 2021 with my Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, also a member of the Honor Society in Architecture, Tau Sigma Delta, and a member of the Professional Fraternity of the Allied Arts, Alpha Rho Chi. While studying as an undergraduate, I accumulated two years of experience at a local architecture firm in Marion, Illinois, Baysinger Architects. Once enrolled in the Master of Architecture program, I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for ARC 481—Environmental Design II, ARC 482—Environmental Design III, and ARC 551—Comprehensive Design Studio. Organizing community projects, design competitions, and working one-on-one with students, every day was an opportunity to collaborate and engage with peers in class and in a professional setting. With a dedication to service and continuously striving for excellence, I earned the Dean’s Outstanding Graduate Student Award, as well as the Outstanding Graduate Teacher Award from the Graduate and Professional Student Council. After completing my thesis project on designing a new typology of school design for K-12 schools, I graduated from the Master of Architecture program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Currently I work at Hurst-Rosche as an Intern Architect. Documenting AXP hours, I will begin the ARE process with the goal of becoming a licensed architect in the state of Illinois.
