About Alex Gustafson

I have worked for Dohrn 20+ years now. My journey began as a high school co-op student where I would come in early in the morning before class to run reports for our sales team and tackle simple IT support questions. I would work at Dohrn off and on during summer breaks and holidays while attending college. After completing my degree in Computer Science at Iowa State University I was hired on full-time. I later went back to school to get my MBA from the University of Iowa to prepare myself for a leadership role. I have seen a lot of change in the LTL transportation industry and am passionate about using technology to solve problems. Today in my role as Senior Director of Information Systems I get to help choose, and implement, the technology Dohrn invests in. Not only that, but I get to work alongside an excellent team in Dohrn's IT Department. Customer experience, safety, and continuous improvement are always top of mind for us. By investing in technology we can provide our customers with reliable service, end-to-end visibility, and a great customer service experience.
