Hosts are tasked with a range of responsibilities such as greeting and seating guests in a polite and timely manner, providing accurate wait times, taking carryout orders both in person and over the phone, then packing said orders, processing gift cards and payments, as well as providing refunds when required. Occasionally tasked with training new hires on the listed responsibilites above.

The HRWC's aquatic internship is primarily focused on the experience of field-based water quality monitoring and public education. Interns are tasked with a variety of projects including but not limited to, measuring and mapping local stretches of creeks, assisting volunteers in STEM education programs, native mussel surveying, storm drain awareness, as well as collection and analysis of water samples.
