Outwardly, much of my job revolved around customer service, whether by email, phone, or in person--managing ticket sales, donations, and inquiries from patrons, using Salesforce's PatronManager platform. My other primary responsibilities included: managing and creating event inventory, cash counting and reconciliation, generating sales and attendance reports, and assisting with copy writing for email correspondence and marketing using MailChimp and Emma. Additionally, I filled in as needed on a variety of administrative tasks, as well as rehearsal photography for company productions.

During my time at Guardian Partners, I was responsible for grant writing/research, procurement, staff photography, and copywriting. In conjunction with my Digital Marketing courses through PSU, I also planned out a blog-based multi-channel inbound content strategy that, for budget shortfalls, was unfortunately never implemented.Additionally, I assisted with data entry (via the NeonCRM platform), administrative support, and reception as needed.

As co-producer and lead actor of the staged reading of my play, Hollywood Syndrome, I handled casting, booking audition/rehearsal spaces, marketing, scheduling, and program design. On the strength of the script, I was recently named a finalist for “Best Playwright” in Willamette Week’s Best of Portland 2016.

It’s no easy task talking 31 strangers on the street into monthly sponsorships of impoverished children they’ve never met. I spent almost three months working full-time with Dialogue—during which time, my rhetorical prowess, active listening skills, and emotional endurance improved more and faster than they ever had before.
