My work history is eclectic but makes for a pretty good story.I graduated from Boston University with a degree in theatre that left me hungry for work focused on people and relationships. As a top student, Iwas a lead performer for four years while also holding down a food service job. It was there thatI learned how much I loved working in restaurants (lucky for an actor). I found the energy of thecafe to be just as thrilling, if not more, than that of the stage. I would continue working in theservice industry for the next ten years, doing everything from running omelettes at a diner, tocatering black tie events at Lincoln Center, to slinging green beers on the patio in March.Inevitably, I would always become the most reliable server at the shop, quickly being promotedto shift lead or manager.It was actually through the service industry that sales finally found me. A regular at a bar on theUpper East Side of Manhattan saw, one busy afternoon, that I had every customer’s ordermemorized, and knew a little about the person to boot. Noticeable also was the true enjoyment Igot from the job. The regular offered me a part-time sales position on the spot. This quicklyevolved into a full time territory manager position for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic with a 2mm book of business that I held and excelled at now for nearly 8 years.That sales position led me to Spirited Away, Where I was able to hone my passion for sobriety, non-alc, small business and retail. from Spirited Away, I found Pentire and the rest is history.It’s also worth saying that I’ve been alcohol-free for 8 years. I am the proud founder of an NYC based, sober-curious women’s group. We meet monthly to do fun things without booze. It was through this group that I found my passion for community and activities with alcohol free and dog friendly options.
